Book Description

Let’s talk about adoption!

Two parents wonder which day was the best day of their life together.
Was it the day when they got married or when they decided to start a family?
Was it the day they met you or the day you all became a forever family?
Follow their story and discover which of all these wonderful days was
the BEST DAY EVER!

Through the voice of parents, this book aims at

  1. planting the seed of discussion with your child,
  2. talking openly and plainly about adoption in general, and
  3. encouraging and normalizing conversation about your child's adoption story.

Ideal from a very young age, the book describes in a simple and very generic manner, the parents’ choice to adopt, as well as the process and implications of building a family through adoption.
The narrative is effortlessly adaptable to all adoption stories as there is no mention of gender, age, religion, ethnicity, or adoption type (domestic or international, open or closed).
Parents can easily build up on the story by adding their own anecdotes as they read.
NOTE that there is purposely no reference made to birth stories/ families as they can be as singular and unique as every child, which is why the last section of the book is specifically dedicated to your child’s own unique birth, placement and adoption story. You can add pictures and age-appropriate information as they grow, making the book as unique as they are!

This is the perfect gift for adoptive parents and adopted children of any age to promote open, casual and very likely never-ending, discussion about their life and the building of their Forever family.
